Gunshots heard in the hall,
Screams echo within the rooms,
Cries for help silenced.
No one knew that day,
That danger may come their way,
When fear filled the place,
Hearts started to race,
As a madman let loose in the school.
Many tears were shed,
The gunman's blood lust fed,
Many parents despaired,
As their children's bodies laid bare,
In the school painted with blood.
Though these strings of fate
Were cut too short,
Memories will last
As long as they remember,
The smiles on their children's faces.
A simple man
With a simple family
With only a single concern.
The well being of his children.
The days passed with his family,
Skin deep everything seemed right as rain,
Twas only a facade.
Everything was wrong,
But the man didn't want to show it.
Tensions rose,
Affairs blossomed,
Wounds bled.
No longer could he feel his children were safe,
With a woman who had no concern of herself,
Who did not love him as a wife should.
The love between them scattered into the wind.
And so the man wandered,
Looking to his children for strength.
Though young and full of life,
They were still too young for this pain.
But no matter what may
My world is blank.
There is no tunnel of light,
Nor is there an overwhelming darkness.
There is only nothing.
Everytime I look around myself,
My heart cries in lonliness,
My mind starts to slip away,
My spirit starts to break.
But I'm so comfortable here.
There are no worries,
There is no trouble,
There isn't any problems
There's nothing bad around.
I want to break free,
To see the world outside my own,
To meet others beyond my door,
To feel what others feel.
I want to break from the world of nothing,
I want to feel the warmth of the sun,
I want to hear the whisper in the wind,
I want to see the rustle of the trees.
I nee
Take my hand.
I'll pull you out of the everlasting darkness.
Through the onslaught of slander I will be your shield,
I'll absorb the assault of criticism of us,
The sacrifices I make are inconsequential for you.
My wish is to be the sword that cuts through your doubts and fears,
I will be your guardian as long as you will it to be.
My heart feels like a tempest
A tornado of despair
A hurricane of pain.
There's nowhere to go,
But many paths to take.
All who get close to me,
Are torn asunder by my heart.
Anyone who cares,
Is blown a long way away.
Fueled by desire it roams,
Looking for company,
Looking to care.
Nothing I can do will stop it,
The turmoil in my heart,
The hesitation in my decision.
Where's the right path to take?
My heart does not know.
It only knows to wander and flee,
It only knows the tempest.
I want to believe.
I want to believe that the government cares,
That our money will be spent wisely,
That the people can prosper.
I want to believe in people,
So that the community can unite,
So that we can accomplish great things.
I want to believe in relationships,
So that people feel loved,
So that they share that joy.
I want to believe that every person can be good,
I want to believe that people can change for the better,
I want to believe that the world can change to be a better place.

If he lost he'd have quite the fit.
